Dust & Dust Endurance Tests

We evaluate the endurance of automotive and electronic parts as well as units against suspended particles of dust in the atmosphere. Not only do we perform float tests and airflow tests according to JIS D 0207 but also prepare dust specimen under defined standards of JIS Z 8901 with quick delivery.

  • NOTES:
    Automotive Standard:
    regulation for dust examination for automotive components.
    Electronic Equipment Standard:
    regulation for protection against ingression of dust and solids in electric machinery and apparatuses.

Dust Test Method
  • AirflowFcompulsory dust spray.
    Method: dust is sprayed compulsorily onto a sample by an air blower.
  • Float testFnatural gathering of dust.
    Method: dust is dropped onto the floor face inside the equipment and diffused and piled
    up under continuous air blow.
